Several people have been asking me what a virtual assistant actually is and how one can benefit your life. They seem somewhat reluctant to hire a virtual assistant because they don’t fully understand what one can do and how the whole process works.

A common assumption is that, if you need help, the only option is to hire a full-time, physically-present assistant, however, this is not always the best option. I will keep this short & to the point for all you busy folk out there and hopefully I can clear up some of those questions and doubts!

What Can a Virtual Assistant Do?

In short: anything administrative that doesn’t require being physically present. Here’s a taste of what C3 VAs can handle:

  • Website/blog creation + updates

  • Calendaring contract dates & follow-ups

  • Invoicing

  • Travel research & booking

  • Event planning assistance

  • Data input

  • Proofreading & copyediting

  • Building slide decks + PowerPoint presentations

  • Research & due diligence

  • Email screening & replies

  • Project management

5 Cons of Hiring a Full-Time, In-House Employee:

  1. Hiring is exhausting. Job posts, resumes, interviews… it’s a whole ordeal.

  2. It gets expensive fast. Salaries, benefits, taxes, insurance, PTO - it adds up.

  3. You’re paying for time, not results. Most full-timers aren’t productive for a full 8 hours.

  4. You need space. Office desks don’t magically appear.

  5. There’s no pause button. Even when work slows, the paycheck keeps flowing.

5 Pros of Hiring a Virtual Assistant:

  1. No drawn-out hiring process. Skip the hassle.

  2. Test the waters easily. No months-long onboarding to find out it’s not a fit.

  3. You only pay for what gets done. 10 hours of work = 10 hours paid.

  4. Instant relief. VAs free up your time fast so you can get back to what you do best.

  5. No tax or insurance headaches. One click, and you’re good to go.

I hope this helps clarify a few things, however, if you ever need more information, feel free to reach out to me directly at crystal@c3virtual.com.
